Finally... something to share.

Well Ladies and Gentlemen, I think I may have found my mojo.
It's still no back in full force yet, but I think I have a good possibility of fully regaining it.

I wanted to share with you the baby announcements that I made for my sisters' new little guy. Her specifications were, she wanted a picture, no pastels, had to have a sock monkey, and she is doing his nursery in browns and rusts, and some other boy colours. The rest was up to me.
This is what I came up with, I think I did pretty well fitting everything in and still making it look cute, and boyish.
She will also be using them as thank-you cards for the gifts that she's gotten for baby.
Here is the front view.

And the inside top, the bottom is blank for her to write whatever it is she wants to write.

I hope you enjoyed these.
Happy Stamping

still here, part two

Well it seems with all the drama in my life that I have misplaced my stamping mojo. I have not made a card in I don't know how long. I have recovered my son's home/school communication book, and it rocks, but that's really about it.

For the last, I don't know how many weeks now, I have been fighting strep throat, an ear infection, and now bronchitis. Ah I love the spring. lol! Next come allergies. It's no wonder that I love the fall, there is next to nothing in that season that makes me wheeze and sneeze.

So I do have some fun news since I was last on. I am an Auntie again!! WOOT! My sister, who has the most gorgeous little girl ever, Here's proof. This is her this Easter at my parents house.

Anyway, my sister who is mommy to this gorgeous little girl, has adopted the sweetest little boy, all the way from Florida. He's so tiny, and beautiful, and he sleeps, unlike his big sister. He's up to a whopping 6 lbs. now.
here is Baby C.

Doesn't he have just the sweetest face? I haven't had the chance to meet this little man yet, but I am hoping to get down to see them soon.

Anyway, That's it for today, I have a sandbox to try and repair, and paint.
Take care.

I'm a little late

Just to be clear, I'm a little late as in posting, not a little late as in pregnant.
We have one of my other nieces here for the week, and being a parent to a teenager is very time consuming, which is why I am late posting. It has been a HUGE blessing to have her here. I am thankful that she is able to be stay with us for the week. Here's a picture of "M" last night at dinner. See M, it's not on facebook.

Well now that being said! I wanted to share with you my weekend with my sweet, sweet niece "D". Her Mom and Dad were gone for the weekend, and we got her. We had so much fun, and she is such a sweetie, and she plays so nice with my kiddo. She loves crafts, I love crafts, we had a blast Saturday afternoon making cards. She wasn't thrilled I took pictures, but whatever, I want to have pictures to look back on of our fun time.

Here is D hard at work, making a card, I do believe, for her Grandma.

I didn't get a chance to get a picture of the finished card that D made, she made it, and got it into an envelope before I could get my camera out. I did get a picture of the envelope that she made.

Here is the card that D made for her Auntie

Here is a shot of the mess we made on the table

And here are the projects that I made. The first one is a card for my aunt and uncle who's' 30 something year anniversary is next week.
I made it using the Saturday sketch over at Jen del Muro's blog

And my second project was a little something for my dad. Here's a little back story, when I was in kindergarten I made a soup can with some wrapping paper on it to be used as a pen cup, for my Dad for Christmas. What I didn't know was that until just this last year it has been on his desk holding his pencils, and pens. The paper finally faded and the glue let go, and it was just a sad tin can again, so Dad retired it. I wanted to make him something to replace it. So kiddo and I went to my Local craft store, and we checked out what they had. Kiddo saw the Harley's and that was it. Funny thing is my Dad loves motorcycles of all kinds, so it was perfect. I sent it home, and when he opened it apparently he got all misty, and just couldn't get over it.

Well that's it for today,
Happy Hump day y'all!

Long week, Curling, and a guest.

I don't have any great projects or amazing things to share today. I just wanted to check in and say HI!
It's been a bit of a long week with my little guy, and my hubby has been busy with work and curling, both at the rink here, and watching the Scotties tournament of Hearts. (Big deal ladies curling in Canada). I am just ready for this week to end, and to find a few hours of extra sleep somewhere. Ok, show of hands, who thinks I'm going to find that sleep?! lol. It's elusive, and with fella in the house, there is no chance of me sleeping past 7am.

Oh, something fun we did with fella this week! I gave him a Mohawk, no not a fauxhawk where you just kinda spike the hair he has, nope, I cut his hair, and gave him a Mohawk. It's so cute!!

I am looking for some colored gel to spike it with. The don't sell anywhere I am, so I am going to have to run up to the city to get some. What color should we get?

Anyway, my hubbies' brother and his wife, Hi Heather!!, are getting away this weekend for a much needed break. We have the pleasure of having one of their five kids here for the weekend. I can't wait! D is very much like me, kinda quiet, until you get to know her, very much into crafts, and totally loves the musical girly movies! Yahoo! This is going to be a fun weekend. I go and pick her up after school today. Yay for a weekend that isn't totally full of testosterone!
This is D, isn't she just the cutest?!

Well gotta run, I have dishes to do, and a craft room to clean.
Have a great weekend! I will be sure to take pictures of the things that D and I create.
Happy Friday everyone!

Bitty babies

There have been so many babies born to friends and family in the last year. I can't even begin to count how many. Being the crazy crafter that I am I made a few things for them. Of course I did forget to take pictures of a lot of it. So I'll show you what I do have pictures of.

This card is smaller than your average card. I wanted something smaller because I am not always great with words, and I figured the less space to write, the less likely I am to put my foot in my mouth. lol, I digress.
That precious little bear on the front is from Whipper Snapper Designs I love their cute stamps. I don't actually own any yet, I borrowed this from a friend, and I'm kinda on a stamp buying diet at the moment, so I'll just have to wait a bit longer to purchase any.
I used prisma colored pencils and mineral spirits to color her in.
The papers and the ribbons are all from Stampin' Up! I really like the way this one turned out.

These pages were made for a very good friend/ cousin in law of mine. Her mother in law asked if I would make some scrapbook pages for her baby book that were from her church baby shower. One page for the gifts, and one for the ladies who came to sign and give any encouragement, advice, or relay special memories to Jackie on.

The papers are all from Stampin' Up! The ribbon I found at Wal~Mart, the flowers are from the SU! pretties kit. The CUTE brads are from the dollar store, and all the writing on the pages was done by hand. She just loved them.

These cute little things were the centre pieces for the head table and the gift table. I took a rose bowl, and filled it with strips of crimped card stock.Next I took some spoons and baby wash clothes and made, lollipop/ rosettes. I tied on some cellophane bags to keep the wash clothes in place. Totally cute, and everything, was usable later. I love those kinds of gifts. Pretty, and yet functional.

Well, that's all I have for today! Hope you enjoyed it.
Happy Tuesday!
